This project in Hendon, Barnet, combines a Sundance Chelsee hot tub with a bespoke Millboard decking surround, creating a practical and stylish setting for year-round relaxation. The installation was designed to provide a secure foundation for the hot tub while integrating it neatly into the existing garden.
A concrete pad was supplied and installed as the foundation for the hot tub, with a raised decking platform built around the spa using Millboard in Ashwood. The supporting framework was constructed from structurally treated timber, with UC4 posts concreted into the ground for a strong and durable base.
The decking platform sits 210mm high around all four sides of the hot tub, creating a clean, level surround and making access to the spa more comfortable. A larger 420mm high by 1800mm wide step was also installed along the front, finished with a 15mm bullnosed detail for a neat edge and comfortable access.
The finished installation brings together the Sundance Chelsee hot tub and high-quality Millboard decking to create a dedicated outdoor wellness area that fits naturally into the garden while providing a durable, low-maintenance space for relaxing and entertaining.
