Welcome to our recent transformation in Welwyn Garden City. We have reimagined the concept of a suburban garden by creating a harmonious blend of high performance functionality and deep relaxation. This project was centered on the concept of zoning. We took a multi level outdoor space and turned it into a structured, luxurious retreat that caters to fitness, dining, and socializing in equal measure.
In tackling this project, we carefully considered the garden layout to create distinct rooms without losing the open air feel. The crown jewel of the upper level is a sunken Hydropool Swim Spa. We elevated and framed this area with premium Millboard decking. This provides a safe, slip resistant surface for fitness and swimming. It also serves as a stylish transition between the water and the rest of the garden. By sinking the spa, we maintained the garden sightlines. This ensures the view remains unobstructed and tranquil from every angle.
Stepping down from the spa deck, you enter a cosy, sheltered sitting area designed for post swim relaxation. To provide year round protection, we installed a sleek white Vision pergola. Within this architectural frame sits a bespoke outdoor kitchen. It is meticulously equipped with a Beefeater Proline grill and a high efficiency single door fridge. The white finish of the pergola and kitchen cabinetry perfectly complements the modern aesthetic of Welwyn Garden City homes. It creates a bright and airy atmosphere even on overcast days.
To further enhance the versatility of the outdoor retreat, the client opted for a dedicated pizza making station in a separate designated space. Featuring an Alfa pizza oven mounted on a multifunctional table, this area allows for an authentic, wood fired cooking experience. This is kept separate from the main grill station. This clever layout allows multiple people to cook and socialize simultaneously. It is the ultimate setup for hosting large gatherings of friends and family.
