By integrating a professional outdoor kitchen, a structural pergola, and a high-performance swim spa, we have significantly elevated the outdoor living standards for our client. The design was meticulously planned to create a central focal point that functions as a versatile space for fitness, gourmet cooking, and social gatherings.
At the heart of this garden, we constructed a bespoke U-shaped outdoor kitchen. This layout provides a professional-grade workspace for the chef while doubling as an interactive social zone. The kitchen is equipped with a high-output grill, a world-class Alfa Pizza Oven for authentic wood-fired meals, and a Beefeater double fridge to manage large-scale catering. To ensure the space is as practical as it is stylish, we integrated a bar and dining area with sleek stools, allowing guests to stay close to the culinary action.
Adjacent to the kitchen, we created a cosy sitting area designed for year-round use. This lounge features high-quality waterproof furniture and a modern fire pit, providing warmth and ambiance during cooler Essex evenings. To guarantee protection from the elements, the entire zone is sheltered beneath a premium Pratic aluminium pergola. The adjustable roof system allows the homeowners to transition between open-air dining and full shelter, ensuring that weather conditions never dictate the schedule of their events.
To complete this luxury retreat, we installed a semi-sunken Hydropool swim spa on the side of the main social area. We built a custom Millboard decking surround for the spa, which offers a slip-resistant and durable platform for fitness and relaxation. By choosing a semi-sunken installation, we achieved a sleek, low-profile look that integrates perfectly with the garden’s topography. This provides a private sanctuary for daily exercise or evening rejuvenation, making the garden a true 365-day-a-year destination.
