By combining a professional-grade kitchen, a structural pergola, and a central swim spa, we have created a harmonious blend of relaxation and luxury. This project is a perfect example of how clever engineering can turn a challenging landscape into a seamless, high-end retreat.
Undertaking this project posed the unique challenge of an uneven garden terrain. To solve this while ensuring the Hydropool swim spa remained the focal point, we constructed a heavy-duty Millboard decking platform over the sloping ground. By sinking the swim spa within this elevated deck, we created a level, flush finish that feels intentional and sleek. Surrounding this centerpiece, we crafted a dedicated relaxation zone featuring comfortable seating and architectural feature walls on the sides to provide privacy and a sense of enclosure.
For the outdoor kitchen, we built a bespoke block render structure designed for durability and modern style. This culinary suite is equipped with a premium Beefeater Proline grill, a high-capacity double fridge, and a world-class Alfa Pizza Oven.
To ensure the kitchen remains a year-round destination, we installed a crisp white Pratic pergola. The white finish of the aluminium structure reflects light beautifully, keeping the area bright even on overcast days. This pergola provides total protection from the elements, allowing the homeowners to grill, bake, and host regardless of the weather. With these strategic enhancements, the garden now resembles a dream vacation destination right in the heart of Hertfordshire.
